BROTHERS WITH BROTHERS How do I get into the program? You will need a referral from the Division of Youth and Family Services. All prospective clients will be interviewed to determine suitability of program to needs. How old do I have to be to qualify for the program? You must be between 14-20 years old. Who won't be accepted? Youth with a history of arson, sexual offenses or violent history will not be considered. How long can participants be in the program? The average length of stay is between 6-18 months. This is determined on an individual basis by the youth, legal guardian, DYFS and Isaiah House. Participants tend to perform better with the knowledge that they have time to work on their issues and get their education. What are program requirements? Youth must be enrolled in educational or vocational program, participate in life skills groups and do volunteer work or approved after-school activity. |
