Who can join?

The East Orange HIV/AIDS Sharing Network is collaboration between individuals, agencies, organizations, institutions, and city government.

Members of the Network are individuals who represent any one of the six categories listed below and who are committed to reducing the spread of HIV/AIDS in the City of East Orange.

 

Member Categories

  1. Individuals from the infected and affected community that reside in East Orange.

  2. Agencies, organizations and institutions that provide services to residents in East Orange.  An agency can appoint one person to serve as a voting Member.  Only 1 individual per agency can vote.

  3. Local government officials including the Mayor’s Office and the Department of Health and Human Services

  4. At Large Member – an individual who does not fit categories a-c but has demonstrated a commitment to the goals and objectives of the Sharing Network.

  5. Alternate Member – an individual appointed by an elected Member (that fits categories a-d) to serve in his or her absence.  An Alternate Member can carry a proxy vote in the Member’s absence.

  6. Honorary Member – an individual who has demonstrated compassion and dedication to the goals and objectives of the Network.  An Honorary Member is chosen by majority vote.  The Honorary Member is not eligible to vote.
