What would I have to do
as a Member of the Sharing Network?
As a member of the East Orange
HIV/AIDS Sharing Network, you will be responsible for the following:

Promote HIV Prevention Education and Treatment to all
citizens regardless of age, gender, and gender identity, ethnicity, race,
economic status, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, or ability.

Identify unmet social, economic, educational,
spiritual, and health-related needs that put people at risk for HIV
disease in East Orange and to share this information with community
leaders.

Form collaborations between the community and community
leaders who can negotiate and advocate for increased services in the City.

Reduce the stigma associated with an HIV/AIDS
diagnosis.

Make a commitment to this process and its results.

Participate in all decisions and problem solving.

Undertake special tasks, as requested by the Sharing
Network

Gather data and information as needed.

Spread the word about the Network’s planning process
and activities.

Join a standing committee.
-
Meet the attendance requirements as stipulated in the
Membership Guidelines document.

Adhere to the Membership Guidelines.
