Letter of Invitation to Join the United Way C.A.R.E.S. HIV Vision Council

Dear Colleague:

The United Way C.A.R.E.S. HIV/AIDS Vision Council is recruiting new members. Please join us at our next meeting which is scheduled for Wednesday, May 12 at 10 AM. Vision Council meetings are held at the United Way office at 303-309 Washington Street, 2nd Floor, in Newark.

The United Way C.A.R.E.S. HIV/AIDS Vision Council coordinates efforts of HIV/AIDS preventive and social service agencies that serve the Essex County and West Hudson areas. Our mission is to prevent the spread of HIV virus, to improve the quality of life for residents living with HIV/AIDS, to expand local capacity in the community, and to increase funds from outside sources for these purposes, with the view towards developing a collaborative delivery system that provides holistic services.

Who can join?

Membership is open to individuals, groups, agencies, institutions, and organizations interested in assisting the HIV community in the counties of Essex and West Hudson.

What would my responsibilities be as a Member of the Vision Council?

Attend one meeting a month. Participate in Vision Council sponsored events and activities as scheduled. Voice your opinion and ideas!
