If you are pregnant:

• You will receive a gift certificate of your choice to a variety of

           different places in Essex County, JUST FOR ENROLLING!!

           The gift certificates include Old Navy, Shop Rite and

          Livingston Mall. You can even chose to receive additional

          minutes for your cell phone!

• You can receive bus tickets for transportation to your prenatal visits                                                                                                                                                         

• With the use of technology and computers, you and your case worker

          can communicate using emails. You can ask your case worker any questions or

          that you may have, at any time of the day. Your case worker will also be able

          to send you emails reminding you when you have a doctor’s appointment or other

          important events.  If you do not have a computer at home, you can

          come into the office and use ours! And if you do not have an email account already                                                                                                                                                                                                           set up you can recieve an official Isaiah House email address.

• Remember YOU are important too!! As a mom-to –be you have

           needs as well. And healthy babies, need healthy moms! As you and

           your baby continue to grow, we offer a notebook filled with information

          and pamphlets to help you BE ALL THE MOM YOU CAN BE!!  Some

          of the subjects in the notebook include “I'm Pregnant.. Now What?",

       "Budgeting For A New Baby” and “How to Handle Stress While

         Pregnant”

• You will become a member of our weekly workshops, taught by our

              highly trained health educator! You will learn new and exciting

           information that will help you as you raise your precious child.  Some

          of the workshop topics include “Being in tune with your

        children”, “Lead in your home”, and “Asthma triggers in

        your home”.

       Enjoy the company of other mothers and mothers-to-be while there and discuss some

of your life experiences.  Light snacks are always provided making this an enjoyable

afternoon for all that attend.

• Our case managers, outreach workers, and health educator are here

           to answer any questions you may have or help you whenever you may

           need any type of assistance. We also give referrals to other

           healthcare agencies and other services in Essex County.

If you have a child and/or children age 2 or under:

• You can receive bus tickets for transportation to your postpartum visits, well baby

           visits, and pediatric visits.

• Our ENROLLED members receive essential baby items that are

           needed after the delivery of your baby. This includes a diaper bag,

           pampers, baby powder, baby lotion, and much more!!

• You can also attend our 5 series Parenting Classes, taught by our

          trained Health Educator. There you can learn tons of information

          about parenting.  Check out the series topics:

Series 1 – Introduction

Series 2- Managing Stress

Series 3- Discipline vs. Punishment

Series 4- Communicating with Your Child

Series 5- Building Literacy in Your Children

Once the series you complete, receive an official Parenting Certificate of Completion and a

                                               party to congratulate the knowledge you have gained!!
